MAC Lipstick - All Fired Up - Review & Swatches

Color:

MAC describes the color as Bright Fuchsia Matte.

Finish:

Retro Matte. 

My Thoughts:

The color is to die for. It is the most gorgeous vibrant fuchsia leaning towards reddish undertones. 

It is extremely matte, without any sheen ... just pure burst of color. 

All Fired Up is insanely pigmented and the color comes out exactly the same on lips as in tube in single swipe.

It is my first retro matte finish lipstick by MAC.

MAC retro matte finish is inspired from MAC's most popular cult lipstick Rubywoo having one-of-a-kind texture. 

Rubywoo is a matte with very dry texture, that drags on lips like a crayon. Whereas, the Retro Mattes apply easily and are less drying comparatively.

I am finding it very drying on my lips even after exfoliating and applying lip balm underneath.

I have read people raving about its longevity of 6-8 hours. This is not same with me. 

It becomes patchy on my lips after very little time without any eating or snacking in between.  After applying It stays put fine on the outer corners and outline but begins to fade from middle of lips. 

If you have a habit of rubbing and smearing your two lips together, it will come off in bits.

I am loving all the shades in MAC retro matte collection but sadly finding this finish difficult to work with. 

I wish that MAC had released All Fired Up in Matte finish :(

I am still struggling to get used to with retro matte finish. 

Things I like...

• Beautiful vibrant color.
• Super matte effect.
• Sturdy black bullet MAC packaging.
• Vanilla-Choco scent.
• Color does not transfer or bleeds.
• It can be dabbed on lightly as a lip stain.
• It will look good on all skin tones - fair, medium, olive  and deep.

Things I do not like...

• Very dry texture.
• Becomes patchy.

MAC Lipstick - So Chaud - Review & Swatches

Color:

MAC describes the color as intense reddish-orange.

Finish:

Matte. 

My Thoughts:

I love So Chaud. Its a beautiful reddish orange color which brightens up the face with a fresh pop of color. I will call this a very wearable orange lipstick unlike MAC Morange which is not for the faint hearted. 

I am NC40 and feel fabulous every time i wear this lipstick ... feels like sunshine, beach, vacation ..lolz. I guess this color adds some energy and liveliness to the mood :)

Like all MAC Mattes, it applies smoothly and stays on for good 4-5 hours. 

So Chaud will flatter all skin complexions. 

It does leave a faint stain on lips which looks good too. It can also be dabbed on for light tinted lip stain.

If you are afraid of trying orange lipsticks, i will definitely recommend So Chaud.  

Things I like...

• Lovely color for my complexion. 
• Sturdy black bullet MAC packaging.
• It will look good on all skin tones - fair, medium, olive  and deep.
• No need for reapplication for 4-5 hrs without drying out my lips.
• Its a permanent color.

Color:

MAC describes the color as Brownish orange-red.

Finish:

Matte. 

My Thoughts:

I will describe the color as brick red with some orangey terracotta undertones. It does not bring brown color on me which is a plus as i am not fond of brown lip colors.

It is a very beautiful and wearable red color. Not shouting and in your face color at all, easily wearable on day time as well as nights out. 

If you are hesitant of wearing bright red lipsticks, then you must give Chilli a try. Its a safe red color. 

I love Matte finishes by MAC. They are not drying at all. Applies smoothly and stays put for good 4-5 hours. If you have very dry lips, you can apply a lip balm underneath. 

It will look great on all skin tones.

MAC Lipstick - Brick-O-La Review & Swatches

MAC describes the color as Mid-tone berry.

My Thoughts:

I adore this lipstick ... This is Love...

It is an Amplified finish by MAC which means it is creamy, moisturizing, glides smoothly and gives opaque finish with a soft sheen.

Brick-O-La was my first ever lipstick from MAC. Now, this is a constant repurchase for me. I am about to finish my third tube.

It is a beautiful berry color with some very slight peachy brick undertones. Its not berry alone as it does lean towards brick infused muted peachy hues ... a true berry brick color. Mixture of these three makes this gorgeous color we call Brick-O-La.

This color will suit all skin tones. I am NC40 and I find it very flattering for my skin tone. It is indeed my most reached and go to lipstick for both days and nights.

It lasts for decent 3-4 hours without touch ups.

If you are a MAC Lipstick virgin, planning to buy but get confused on taking the plunge... I will highly recommend Brick-O-La as your first MAC Lipstick. Trust me you will not regret.

MAC Lipsticks retail for $16 in USA. The prices completely vary in different countries and shops as per locations.

In Pakistan, these are usually sold from PKR2800-3200 in different stores which is quite expensive.

I have been purchasing MAC products on my trips abroad until i came across a facebook page called MAC Addict. They sell genuine MAC Lipsticks for PKR2100 which is amazing. They have best prices. 

I have done two purchases from them and guess what .. this time I have ordered 4 Brick-O-La lipsticks this time as an EID gift to my Mom and sisters... 

Is this not delicious ... what else can be better for EIDI ;)

MAC Fluidline Gel Eyeliner - Blacktrack

MAC's Claim:

Ultra-smooth, Fluidline's gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on “foolproof” with a brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge-proof. Lines up in a rich array of colours and finishes. Brush sold separately.

Available in variety of 6 shades.

My Thoughts:

I simply loveee this product. 

I bought this Fluidline Blacktrack Gel liner from MAC store in Dubai Duty Free for USD15. I have been using this gel eyeliner for quite some time now and  still enjoying it to the max.

I find it very pigmented and jet black for my eyes. I use it with my Sigma or Etude liner brush. For those, eye liner application is a usual nightmare, let me tell you, it does not glide as smooth as a liquid eyeliner, so you will have to work in smaller parts. It does dry fast, so you have work quickly. It is build-able and you can put multiple coats as well, but better before first layer dries out.

The best thing about this Fluidline Blacktrack is that you can perfectly use it on your waterline. It will not bleed on your waterline and it can easily be used in place of eye pencil or kohl.

You can create a perfect cut crease and cat eye with this Fluidline. For some looks, you can also use it on your eye lids as a cream eye shadow and work with other colors. 

I think its a fabulous product and worth the price and all claims. One tub of 3gms will last you for long.

You might like if...

you feel the price is right.

you are looking for dark and intense eyes for daily use and for special ocassions. 

you find gel eyeliners easy to work with.

You might not like if ...

you feel difficulty in applying eyeliners or take too long in application because its fast drying.

you find it expensive.
